Data Release 31

This is Data Release 31, released on February 11th, 2026. To use the (automatically-updating) dynamic version, you can use ^31. To use the fixed (unchanging) version, you can use 31. See more information about our data versioning scheme at the reference page.

Simplified data versions

We have simplified how we talk about and accept data versions based on user feedback. The 31.31 version format still works and is equivalent to the new fixed version format 31.

New Data

Carbon Minds: Emission factors for chemical products for several countries, available under a paid license due to dataset licensing and pricing packages.
GLEC Framework v3.2: Emission factor data for logistics and supply chain activities.
IEA: Well-to-tank (upstream) electricity emission factors for several countries for 2023 and 2024.
UBA: Emission factors for fuel, electricity and heating covering scopes 1-3, as well as machinery, industrial processes and scope 1 commercial and passenger vehicles.
NVE: Electricity generation emission factors for Norway for 2024.
IGES: Electricity generation emission factors for China, Vietnam and India for 2020-2023.
DISER: Electricity generation emission factors for the North Western Interconnected System (NWIS) in Western Australia for 2021-2025.

Data Changed

IEA: Updated well-to-tank (upstream) electricity emission factors for several countries for 2018-2023.
UBA: Updated electricity generation, well-to-tank, and transmission and distribution (T&D) losses emission factors for 2024.
GLEC: Updated the total EU electricity emission factor for 2021.

Data Removed

No data has been removed in this release.
