ADEME (Agence de la transition écologique) is the French Agency for Ecological Transition and offers a wide range of emission factors to support the measurement and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in France. These emission factors are used to estimate greenhouse gas emissions associated with various activities, such as energy consumption and transportation.

The European Union's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is a regulatory tool designed to measure carbon emissions attributed to the production of high-carbon goods imported into the EU, aiming to promote cleaner practices in industrial production across non-EU countries. To this end, the European Commission publishes emission factors providing the necessary metrics for compliance and environmental integrity.

Climate TRACE (Tracking Real-Time Atmospheric Carbon Emissions) is a collaborative initiative aimed at providing precise, real-time tracking of global greenhouse gas emissions using artificial intelligence, satellite image processing and other remote sensing technologies along with academic research and publicly available data.

The Covenant of Mayors (CoM) collection, maintained by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC), provides datasets, methodological guidance, and technical resources to support local and regional climate action under the Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy initiative. The collection includes greenhouse gas emission factors for electricity and local energy use, alongside supporting methodologies for greenhouse gas accounting and climate planning.

ecoinvent is a Swiss not-for-profit association that provides a Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) database that supports various types of sustainability assessments. This data enables users to gain a deeper understanding of the environmental impacts of their products and services. ecoinvent provides multiple climate impact indicators. We use "IPCC 2007 (superseded), climate change, global warming potential (GWP100)" for AR4 CO2e emisison factor values and "IPCC 2013, climate change, global warming potential (GWP100)" for AR5 values.
