Emission factor summary

Emissions generated by the activity within the product supply chain as described in ecoinvent v3.10. This is delivering the service of 'zinc coat pieces adjustment per micro-m'. Zinc coating is included in the process of hot-dip galvanized of steel and it is applied onto the surface of the steel as it is immersed into the molten zinc. The process includes the galvanising (melt zinc coating) and the finishing treatment. This service is to be used if the zinc layer is thicker than the double-sided 65 um or the one-sided 130 um and it appliable for both processes of "zinc coating pieces" and "zinc coating coils". It does not include the steel strip or sheet beeing coated. Thus it should be used with an input of 1 m2 of steel sheet. Zinc coating is used to improve the anti-corrosion performance of the steel so it will last longer or to provide a decorative appearance. The cut-off classification is allocatable product. The activity type is market activity. The reference product amount is 1.
