| Methodology description | Launched in April 2024, SEFR aggregates more than 200 emission factors relevant to Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG accounting across eight categories — building equipment, building materials, fuel, greenhouse gases, land transport, purchased energy, waste, and water — consolidated from four government agencies and the Singapore Green Building Council. The registry was established to address the lack of localised emission factors for Singapore, where the use of foreign (e.g. UK or US) factors does not accurately reflect Singapore's specific energy mix, operational conditions, and infrastructure. |
