Cast iron (production)

The activity generating the emissions is cast iron production. The reference product is cast iron. Cast iron is a metal. It has 35% scrap and 65% pig iron as iron input, which is a transition metal. It is a direct product of electric arc furnace. It can be used in the following applications and/or processes: circa 40% is used in the automotive industry, other applications include mechanical engineering, the building industry (radiators, boilers, sanitary ware, pipes, etc), chemical plants, ship building and mining. The reference product amount is 1. The cut-off classification is allocatable product. The activity type is ordinary ordinary transforming activity.
