Process description: The reaction of phenol, phosphorous oxychloride and isobutylene produces the main product tert-butylphenyl diphenyl phosphate. For this purpose, the process consumes phenol, caustic soda (50%), isobutylene, hydrochloric acid, calcium oxide, aluminum chloride, and phosphorus oxychloride. Utilities consumed comprise cooling water, thermal energy, electricity, process water, unspecific inorganic chemical, cement, and disposal of cement. Dataset type is technology-specific (extension layer). Allocation type is no allocation needed in this unit process. In case of energy co-production, allocation via avoided burden is applied for the co-produced energy. CAS RN is 83242-23-3.
