Gold (refinery operation)

The activity generating the emissions is gold refinery operation. The reference product is gold. Gold is a metal. It is soft and yellow, it is the most ductile and malleable of the metals. Refined gold has a purity of 99.50% and it is a transition metal. It is the direct product of mining, beneficiation and smelting gold ore, after being mined and beneficiated while it is the by-product of platinum group metals extraction and refinery operations. It can be used in the following applications and/or processes: coinage, ornaments, jewellery, gilding, textile industry, electronics, for high conductivity and suppressing secondary emissions, gold-plated grid wire, etc. The reference product amount is 1.
