Process description: The ethylene polymerization (C6-C20 alcohol) produces the main product 1-octanol. For this purpose, the process consumes hydrogen, sulfuric acid, caustic soda (50%), ammonia, toluene, hydrochloric acid, calcium oxide, ethylene, titanium dioxide, chromium oxide, and aluminum. Utilities consumed comprise cooling water, thermal energy, steam, electricity, inert gas, process water, unspecific inorganic chemical, cement, and disposal of cement. Dataset type is technology-specific (extension layer). Allocation type is allocation via price. In case of energy co-production, allocation via avoided burden is applied for the co-produced energy.
