Emissions generated by the activity within the product supply chain as described in ecoinvent v3.10. The product wood pellet represents pelletized wood residues from sawmills and woodchips as raw materials. wood pellets have a water content of 0.1. The raw materials are firstly pre-treated and dried then comminated and mixed. In the end they are pelletized cooled and packed. Pellets that are packed in 15 kg-bags amount to the 20% of the production. The remaining 80% are sold unpacked. The pellets produced match the characteristics of the German standard of quality DIN-plus (certification). Wood pellets are used as wood fuel with a lower heating value of circa 13.38 MJ/kg.
