Polyurethane adhesive (production)

The activity generating the emissions is polyurethane adhesive production. The reference product is polyurethane adhesive. Polyurethane adhesive (PUR adhesive or PUR glue) is a formaldehyde-free adhesive which is used in engineered wood products such as crosslaminated timber (CLT). Formaldehydes in indoor applications are often associated with concerns of their emissions to ambient air and effects on human health. In PUR adhesive isocyanate is used instead of formaldehyde.
