Emission factor summary

Emissions generated by the activity within the product supply chain as described in ecoinvent v3.10. This is delivering the service of 'extrusion co-extrusion'. The process of co-extrusion includes two or more molten materials combined in a die under pressure. Examples of co-extrusion include cable insulation and packaging films where composite films with up to seven layers are used. The service of co-extrusion refers to an input of 1 kg of plastic pellets but the amount of plastic pellets processed is not included. Thus it should be used along 1 kg of thermoplastic material (e.g. polyethylene (PE) polypropylene acetal acrylic nylon polystyrene polyvinyl chloride (PVC) acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and polycarbonate). The cut-off classification is allocatable product. The activity type is ordinary transforming activity. The reference product amount is 1.
