Salt (salt production from seawater - evaporation pond)

Salt is produced through evaporation of seawater but is also present in nature in mineral form where it can be mechanically extracted/mined. Salt finds numerous and various application in many sectors such as industrial, chemical, food, agriculture and others. It can be also used to further produce table salt and other products. The cut-off classification is allocatable product. The activity type is ordinary transforming activity. The reference product amount is 1.
