Process description: The slurry loop process (Chevron Phillips Martech) produces the main product polyethylene (HD). For this purpose, the process consumes hydrogen, ethylene, hexene-1, and isobutane. Utilities consumed comprise electricity, steam, thermal energy, cooling water, and inert gas. Dataset type is technology-specific (core layer). Allocation type is no allocation needed in this unit process. In case of energy co-production, allocation via avoided burden is applied for the co-produced energy. CAS RN is 9002-88-4.
