Emission factor summary

Emissions generated by the activity within the product supply chain as described in ecoinvent v3.8. Octabenzone is a UV absorber and stabiliser with a pale yellow colour (ChemYQ, n.d. and Dikshith 2013). Octabenzone is suitable to absorb radiation with wavelenght between 240 and 340 nm. Octabenzone is generally suitable for the use in polymers. Octabenzone is flammable and explosive if in contact with air, it therefore needs to be kept in sealed containers is a dry and cool environment (Dikshith 2013).
