Phenolic resin (phenolic resin production)

Emissions generated by the activity within the product supply chain as described in ecoinvent v3.8. Phenolic resin', is a plastic product of fossil origin, it is not biodegradable and it is a thermoset material. This product consists of 100% virgin material with no content of recycled material. The product is used in the following applications and sectors: in the building industry as thermal insulation for flat roofs and as the core of structural sandwich elements for walls and roofing, preferred for insulation in transport (motor vehicles, railroad cars, ships) as well as in aeronauticand space applications. The cut-off classification is allocatable product. The activity type is ordinary transforming activity. The reference product amount is 1.
