Emission factor summary

Process description: The reaction of ethylene oxide and ethylene dichloride produces the main product triethylenetetramine. For this purpose, the process consumes hydrogen, caustic soda (50%), ammonia, ethylene dichloride, ethylene oxide, and n-butanol. Utilities consumed comprise cooling water, steam, electricity, and inert gas. Dataset type is technology-specific (extension layer). Allocation type is allocation via mass. In case of energy co-production, allocation via avoided burden is applied for the co-produced energy. CAS RN is 112-24-3. All datasets are based on the attributional LCA approach and the methodology defined in the cm.chemicals methodology document.
