Data Version 11.11

This is Data Version 11.11. The highest major version is 11, and the highest minor version is 11. To use the major version, you can use ^11. To use it as a minor version, you can use x.11, e.g., 0.11 or 1.11. This data version was released on April 10th, 2024.

Data Added

This data release focuses on the addition of ecoinvent v3.10, a major update to our ecoinvent dataset, that was previously at version 3.8.

ecoinvent v3.10 includes over 7000 new emission factors covering a variety of regions and sectors.

Data Changed

This list only covers major changes. Changes covering a smaller subset of emission factors, or changes such as name or description changes, are not listed. Find a link at the end of this document to a structured table listing all changes.

ecoinvent v3.10 comes with over 16.000 updates to the existing emissions for ecoinvent v3.8. For these emission factors, the co2e values, descriptions, and source dataset has been updated.

One major change is that ecoinvent v3.10 no longer publishes numbers using the old AR4 calculation method, but only AR5 and AR6. If you need to use the older AR4 method along with ecoinvent, you should stay on a major version lower than 11.
