| Methodology description | The PlasticsEurope Eco-profiles database provides Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) datasets, Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) for high-volume bulk polymers, widely used engineering plastics, and standard plastics conversion processes of the European plastics industry. Eco-profiles represent European industry average production, compiled from confidential data collection across participating member companies. They are widely acknowledged among life cycle practitioners worldwide as representative datasets and are included in various commercial LCA databases as well as the publicly available Global LCA Data Access network (GLAD). Industry averages are used rather than company-specific values to provide the most robust representation of polymer production systems, given the large contribution of upstream effects and the distribution of input materials across the European pipeline network. The methodology follows version 3.1 of the PlasticsEurope Eco-profile Methodology Document, and datasets are subject to independent third-party review. |

ADEME
ADEME (Agence de la transition écologique) is the French Agency for Ecological Transition and offers a wide range of emission factors to support the measurement and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in France. These emission factors are used to estimate greenhouse gas emissions associated with various activities, such as energy consumption and transportation.

IEA
The International Energy Agency (IEA) provides comprehensive electricity emission factors, which are essential for understanding the carbon footprint of electricity generation across different regions and energy sources. These factors assist governments, businesses, and researchers in measuring the environmental impact of electricity consumption and in developing strategies for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the energy sector.
