Methodology description

The electricity emission factors represent the carbon intensity of electricity generated by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA). The factors are supplier-specific to DEWA and apply to electricity supplied in the emirate of Dubai. DEWA reports the Grid Emission Factor annually in its Sustainability Reports.

Limitation / key issues to note

The emission factors are specific to DEWA's electricity supply in Dubai and may not be representative of the electricity mix of the United Arab Emirates as a whole.
