Palm kernel meal (palm oil mill operation)

The activity generating the emissions is palm oil mill operation. The Reference Product is palm kernel meal. The product palm kernel meal is produced by means of wet milling in a oil mill producing palm oil, palm kernel oil and palm kernel meal. Palm kernel meal is used as a source of protein (feed for animals). The palm fruit has a single seed, the palm kernel, protected by a wooden endocarp or shell and surrounded by a fleshy mesocarp or pulp. This fruit produces two types of oil: one extracted from the pulp (palm oil) and the other from the kernel (palm kernel oil). The Reference Product amount is 1. The cut-off classification is allocatable product. The activity type is ordinary transforming activity.
