Emissions generated by the activity within the product supply chain as described in ecoinvent v3.8. The product 'engineered wood joist', also called I-joist because of its shape, is an engineered wood product. It is a small beam composed of an upper and a lower chord, either made out of jointed lumber (2"x3", 2"x3.5" or 2"x4" of dimension) or laminated veneer lumber (LVL, 2"x3" or 2"x4" of dimension), glued perpendicularly to a central web of oriented strand board (OSB, 0.375" thick x 9.875" high for lumber or 11.875" high for LVL). The product represents a weighted average of the different chord types combined with the OSB web for 1 m of joist. Engineered wood joist are used as construction materials. The cut-off classification is allocatable product. The activity type is ordinary transforming activity. The reference product amount is 1.
