The product white spirit' is an organic mixture of aliphatic open-chain or alicyclic C7 to C12 hydrocarbons. It is liquid under normal conditions of temperature and pressure. On a consumer level is used in the following products: extraction solvent as a cleaning solvent as a degreasing solvent and as a solvent in aerosols paints fuel wood preservatives lacquers varnishes and asphalt products. It is sourced from from naphtha or as a by product in petroleum refineries. If used as a (fossil) fuel its combustion value is 45 MJ/kg. The cut-off classification is allocatable product. The activity type is ordinary transforming activity. The reference product amount is 1.
