Multi-Si wafer (production)

The activity generating the emissions is multi-Si wafer production. The Reference Product is multi-Si wafer. This product represents 1 m2 of multi-Si wafer used to produce photovoltaic cells. Wafers are round disks cut from pure silicon ingots. Multi-Si, or polycrystalline silicon consists of many small silicon crystals compared to single-Si that consist of one single continuous crystal. Multi-Si cells are usually less efficient than single-Si photovoltaic cells The Reference Product amount is 1. The cut-off classification is allocatable product.
