Raw sewage sludge (drying - sewage sludge)

The activity generating the emissions is drying, sewage sludge. The Reference Product is raw sewage sludge. Raw sewage sludge is a liquid waste under the category of industrial wastes. It is primarily generated in soft fibreboard production. raw sewage sludge contain the following fractions: 100% average raw sewage sludge with 97% water content. By the database default (and per unit of reference product),raw sewage sludge has 95% water on wet mass basis (5% dry matter) and Carbon present is of only non-fossil origin (40.96% on a dry matter basis). It has a lower heating value of 3.2 MJ/kg . This kind of by-product (recyclable or waste) is generated from ordinary transforming activities, and as such can be considered for modelling waste outputs of comparable composition. In the ecoinvent database, treatment option/s for this by-product include: thermal (municipal incineration).
