Dodecyl alcohol ethoxylate (made by reaction of ethylene oxide and n-dodecanol)

Process description: The reaction of ethylene oxide and n-dodecanol produces the main product dodecyl alcohol ethoxylate. For this purpose, the process consumes caustic soda (50%), ethylene oxide, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, calcium oxide, and n-dodecanol. Utilities consumed comprise cooling water, steam, electricity, inert gas, unspecific inorganic chemical, cement, and disposal of cement. Dataset type is technology-specific (extension layer). Allocation type is no allocation needed in this unit process. In case of energy co-production, allocation via avoided burden is applied for the co-produced energy. CAS RN is unspecific.
