Methodology description

The dataset provides the national average electricity emission factor for Japan, representing the average CO2 emissions associated with electricity supplied nationally. The factor is based on FY2023 data and is published for use within the FY2024 electricity utility emission factor calculation framework, including where an operator-specific emission factor is not available.

    ICM Database

The Integrated Carbon Metrics (ICM) Database is an Australian-specific life cycle inventory providing carbon footprint intensities for construction and building materials. It includes results from both a process method (based on AusLCI process data) and a hybrid method (combining process data with input-output data to capture upstream activities).
