Structural timber (production)

The activity generating the emissions is structural timber production. The Reference Product is structural timber. The product "structural timber" represents 1 m3 of structural timber board. Structural timber is a building material with precisely defined product characteristics, which was developed specially to meet the high requirements of modern timber construction. Structural timber is a kiln-dried, strength-graded, and in most cases finger-jointed timber product made of solid softwood. Typical uses are as construction plywood for wall, floor, and ceiling panels and also as panels for concrete shuttering, and decorative covering veneers in interior furnishings (e.g. wall panels or doors).
