It is generated from a wide range of residential industrial and commercial activities. By the database default (and per unit of reference product),'wastewater average' has the following physicochemical characteristics:  C: 0.000000043979 kg/m3  N: 0.031015 kg/m3  P: 0.0044833 kg/m3. This by-product can have a regional-specific composition; users are prompted to refer to the properties of this wastewater (in activities treating them) for a detailed elemental composition. This kind of by-product (wastewater) is generated from ordinary transforming activities and as such can be considered for modelling wastewater outputs of comparable composition.  In the ecoinvent database treatment option/s for this wastewater include: wastewater treatment plant. This by-product can be modelled on two levels: treatment activity and market activity. The former one refers to the specific technology treating the by-product while the latter level represents a mix of treatments.
